Western Baking Corporation (WBC) is the Cookie & Cracker manufacturing company formed upon the acquisition of the assets of Marietta Biscuit Company (MBC), based in Alamogordo, New Mexico. WBC is a Bakery with five 300 ft. highly efficient ovens, in aggregate able to produce approximately $150.0MM of baked products annually, depending on the product mix.

Western Baking Corporation will be a World Class producer of cookies and crackers. In the future, we will produce a broad array of additional baked products. Some of these products currently exist and others will be innovative or new and unique baked or extruded grain based products, depending on the requirements of our Customers and our Markets.

Our priority is to achieve the highest food grade certifications possible, beginning with our plan to become GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) certified. Simultaneously, WBC is seeking the highest possible certifications from the AIB, (American Institute of Baking), while also being certified by other, Customer required, third party Auditors including having all appropriate and necessary Kosher certifications.

WBC has been formed with a plan to generate exponential sales and profit growth via significant new volume to be built with Branded, Private Label, and Contract Packing products. Customers will include Grocery Retailers, Clubs, Mass Marketers, Drug Chains, Dollar Stores, and National and Regional Manufacturers and Marketers. This new volume will be built with former and new customers and products, and by expanding the range of products offered to all Customers.

WBC is built upon a Business Plan to absolutely succeed – overwhelmingly loaded toward success with its Investments and Personnel. The heart of the Business Plan for WBC is to dramatically build the sales volume of the Bakery by combining highly experienced and mature Management, Operations and Sales personnel with the best former employees to form a totally new Team as we build a Bakery that has a primary Operating Goal of “doing things right” in all facets of the Corporation.

It is worth noting that the core Management, Operations, and Sales Personnel within WBC have a collective 133 years in the Cookie & Cracker industries, while also having 197 years of collective experience in the Private Label and Contract Packing industries.

This same group has Manufactured and Sold multiple Billions of Dollars worth of Products for Nabisco, Keebler, Sunshine, Pepperidge Farm, Kellogg’s, General Mills, Quaker and so on, including every medium to major Private Label Customer in the US. This Team brings to Western Baking Corporation a tremendous wealth of experience, knowledge, and trust for our Customers.

Other key facets of the Plan are to direct WBC into New Products, Markets, and Classes of Trade, and to improve a good manufacturing base capability by making immediate, substantial Capital Expenditures to improve efficiencies and to down costs so Sales can be driven up rapidly for the benefit of Customers and WBC.
